In 2016, two friends, Raju Kanakam and Manikanta Oolla, noticed something troubling in their community. They saw many families struggling with poverty, unable to afford enough food, and caught in a cycle of debt. This made them deeply con cerned, and they wanted to do something about it. One evening, as they sat together, they talked about the problems they saw, and how they could help. They decided they needed to take action, not just talk about it. They wanted to make a real difference in the lives of those who were struggling. That's how the Kanakam Foundation was born.
